WELCOME BACK TO STORIES TO TOUCH

Sk_icon_56
At the moment this site is just for those involved with if:book's researches with Winged Chariot and schools in London, funded by the Gulbenkian Foundation, but eventually we want to turn this site into a useful and inspiring resource for teachers using Winged Chariot apps on iPads and/or iPhones in their schools.

We know how hard pressed teachers are, so want to make the site practical to use as well as inspiring. Your thoughts on how to achieve the perfect balance would be most useful.

THE RESEARCH features the original proposal to the Gulbenkian and the questionnaire sent to schools involved

LESSON PLANS include Eliza Kurasiewicz's printable resources for use with EAL students at KS3

WHAT CHILDREN SAY - VIDEOS features Sasha Hoare's wonderful videos made with Mister Greenwood's class.

Your comments are very, very welcome!

Well summer is upon us and this is the time when the wingedchariot elves/cats/mice will be working away. I have been delighted to see all the different schools and computer equipment available to you.

I look forward to seeing you all working with the chrome and safari webkit browsers that we recommend when you get the first multilingual stories library to use.

If you are interested to know how we are going to do this, here is a technical but very readable presentation into mobile browsing and the recent introduction of the script and instruction sets for HLTM5.

i will posting some of our creative work and text sites during August so please make a habit and checking back in here every few weeks. My colleagues from Wingedchariot will be in touch to see you use the library in the new school year.

Have a great summer

HELLO TEACHERS!

Sk_web2_0

WELCOME to Storiestotouch.posterous.com, the website we're developing for the Gulbenkian Foundation funded project to research the use of Wingechariot's childrens book apps in schools.

Chris and Kati have enjoyed meeting you, your schools and pupils, and we've written up our notes in great detail. Next Neal will be in touch to find out more about your technical requirements for the digital books that Wingedchariot plan to make for you.
